ARCHIVE DIGITAL ISIPH 1978
It is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of the ISIPH 1978 Digital Archive, marking a pivotal moment in the history of Indo-Portuguese studies. Since 1978, scholars from across the globe – India, Portugal, France, Brazil, the UK, and beyond – have gathered in academic dialogue through the International Seminar on Indo-Portuguese History (ISIPH). Over the past four decades, 15 seminars have been held across India, Brazil, France, Macau, Mozambique, and Portugal, fostering collaboration and producing groundbreaking research in history, humanities, and social sciences.
The digital archive encapsulates this rich history, preserving the legacy of ISIPH’s interdisciplinary work, which spans archaeology, anthropology, literature, art history, and urbanism. This platform offers unprecedented access to scholars worldwide, ensuring that this invaluable resource continues to inspire and inform future generations.
As we resume our academic gatherings post-pandemic, we are proud to bring this initiative to life in Goa, where the seminar was last held in 2003, rekindling the vibrant intellectual exchanges that have defined ISIPH for over 40 years.
